mihaela klasič

Mihaela Klasić graduated in 2021 from the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Ljubljana, earning the title of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. As a student, she volunteered for the last two years of her studies at the Department of Anesthesiology at the Small Animal Clinic of the Veterinary Faculty, University of Ljubljana. During her studies, she received the Faculty Prešeren Award and the Krka Award for her research paper titled “The effect of acepromazine, methadone, and dexmedetomidine on blood pressure and heart rate in anesthetized dogs,” which she completed under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Alenka Seliškar and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Katerina Tomsič. 

In 2021, she started working at the Small Animal Clinic of the Veterinary Faculty, University of Ljubljana, where she completed a one-year clinical internship in dog and cat medicine, before continuing her work at the Department of Anesthesiology.

In October 2024, she began her postgraduate studies in the interdisciplinary doctoral program in Biomedicine, where, as a young researcher, she will study the efficacy and safety of regional anesthesia in dogs, under the mentorship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Katerina Tomsič and co-mentorship of Prof. Dr. Alenka Seliškar.
