Hana Dougan completed her veterinary medicine studies at the Veterinary Faculty, University of Ljubljana, in 2024.
During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a student assistant at the Clinic for Horses of the Veterinary Faculty and completed a one-month internship at the Equine Clinic of the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna.
Since 2025, she has been employed at the Small Animal Clinic as a Junior Researcher at the Department of Internal Medicine for Dogs and Cats. Her research focuses on biomarkers in dogs with Cushing’s syndrome under the supervision of assist. prof. Darja Pavlin within the interdisciplinary PhD program Biomedicine. She also takes part in teaching activities.
