Martina Cimerman graduated from high school in 2015 and enrolled in undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ljubljana. During her studies, she volunteered at private veterinary clinics and worked as a veterinary technician at the Small Animal Clinic of Veterinary Faculty in her last year of college. In 2021 she gained the title of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and began working as a young researcher at the Small Animal Clinic of Veterinary Faculty.
During her postgraduate studies in the interdisciplinary doctoral study program Biomedicine, she will be working as a young researcher at the Department of Cardiology under the mentorship of prof. dr. Aleksandra Domanjko Petrič. The focus of her research will be the immune response and its role in dogs with heart failure.
