Meet our staff

Urška Ravnik Verbič graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 2005. She started working as a veterinarian at the Clinic for Surgery and Small Animals of the faculty in 2006. In the same year, she continued her education with a PhD program in Biomedicine at the University of Ljubljana focusing on the pathogenesis and immune response in dogs naturally infected with the Anaplasma phagocytophilum bacterium, under the mentorship of associate professor Nataša Tozon, while working as a veterinarian at the clinic. She was awarded her PhD in 2012.

Urška Ravnik Verbič has been appointed as an assistant at the Veterinary Faculty, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. Her main field of work has been in internal medicine, infectious diseases and the ophthalmology of dogs and cats. She has been involved in working with students and giving lectures in an education program for veterinarian clinicians.
