Radiography is a diagnostic imaging method that is used to show different structures in the body. Radiographic examination aids in diagnosis, enabling veterinary staff to monitor the progress of the disease, evaluate injuries, or find changes in the body. The examination is fast and painless.
At our clinic, we provide digital radiography of:
- Thorax
- Abdomen
- Musculoskeletal system
- Hips, shoulders and elbows for breeding evaluation (HD, ED)
- Patellas (as part of diagnostics of patella luxation)
- Gastrointestinal tract (including dynamic contrast studies)
In addition, we also perform fluoroscopy and contrast radiologic studies of:
- Spinal canal (myelography)
- Urinary bladder and/or kidneys (cystography, excretory urography)
- Gastrointestinal tract
Hip (HD) and elbow (ED) dysplasia evaluation
We perform X-ray examinations for breeding licenses from Tuesday to Friday between 8.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m. We kindly ask you to book an appointment 2-3 days prior to the wanted date by telephone 01/477 93 10. To obtain radiographs for breeding licenses, dogs must be at least 12 months old, or old as required for a specific breed. Please, contact Kennel Club of Slovenia for more information on current regulations. On the day of the examination, the dog should be fasted (i.e., not given any food 12 hours prior to the examination, but can have free access to drinking water). You need to present us with the original pedigree of your dog with dog’s identity (microchip) clearly stated. The assessment of x-ray is given directly after the examination with few exceptions when assessment is given later. Welcome!
