After completing veterinary secondary school in Ljubljana, Edita Okršlar completed her mandatory practice in the Medicovet veterinary clinic in Kranj. Since 2003, she has been employed at the Clinic for Surgery and Small Animals of the Veterinary Faculty in Ljubljana. At the clinic, she mostly works with the departments of Surgery, Internal Medicine and Inpatient Care Unit and also in Ultrasound. She can also be found working at the reception desk.
She is a regular attendee of the Symposium of Slovenian Association of Small Animal Practitioners.
